Royal Wharf

Royal Wharf development to feature at London Festival of Architecture

Ballymore & Oxley’s flagship development Royal Wharf will feature alongside the capital’s finest architectural plans, projects and minds at the London Festival of Architecture later this month.

This year’s programme will see developers Ballymore & Oxley host an event between 6.30-9pm on 26th June at Royal Wharf in London’s Royal Docks.

Guests are invited to experience a comprehensive tour of the unique 3,385-home scheme led by Glenn Howells of Glenn Howells Architects.

Later, there will be presentations from Alex Ely of Mae Architects and Chris Lee of Serie Architects, with each of them explaining how understanding the history of the site and the wider area of London’s ‘great estates’ have shaped the development’s architectural identity.

Royal Wharf reflects the area’s heritage as a world-leading port with industrial materials used throughout while part of the scheme, incorporates scalloped details in testament to the oyster shells discovered in the excavation of the dock walls.
